The incident took place on July 10 at the Pompano Beach AMC cinema, and according to the sheriff's office in the area, it was a man's "worst performance at the theatres." The incident was captured on camera by the police department, and it was made public on Thursday. The man, who went to the theater with his wife, is shown repeatedly punching the elderly theatergoer, who knocked to the ground.

What led to the incident?

US media reports claim that the theater's security camera footage shows an altercation between an older person and a young ethnically black individual.

The elderly man had acquired VIP tickets with reserved seating and was seeing the film with his wife. But when they got there, they discovered two people sitting in their seats. When the elderly man asked the pair to leave gently, they grew aggressive and stood up to confront him. The old man was compelled to take a step back as a result of the rapid movement. He then lost his balance, and fell down the theater's stairs. The attacker then started beating him rigorously.

The old man was hit in the head and face as a result of the attacker's subsequent attacks. The culprit was dragged out of the cinema by witnesses who sprang to the old man's defense. The confrontation, which was captured on camera, has received a lot of social media attention .
