Hundreds of women and girls from Pakistan Christian minority have been trafficked to china as brides in recent months. The girls are being asked to serve as potential brides by the greedy brokers. Pakistan has become a new marriage market for Chinese folk.
The parents of these girls are given a thousand of dollars to give away their daughters. The poor parents are befooled that their new son in laws are wealth Christians converts which is absolutely false. The grooms turn out to be neither. The girls get married off often against their will. The girls are extremely poor and after marriage they land themselves into isolated remote rural regions, vulnerable to abuse, unable to communicate and reliant on a translation app even for a glass of water.

Mimi Vu, director of advocacy at Pacific Links, remarked with utmost remorse that brides initially came largely from Vietnam, Laos and North Korea and now the men look afield. The lady further added that it is a kind of demand and supply which earlier used to be whether the girl is light skinned and now is merely left to whether she is a female or not.
A victim named 'Muqadas' was badly threatened by her husband who forced her to have a number of medical tests to check regarding her pregnancy. The husband brutality was so much that he slapped her on Christmas eve and even broke her phone. Many of such girls, when rescue back to their parents for help are too poor to retrieve back their daughters. They suggest them to adapt to the new environment.
