Indian Air Force air strikes Line of Control

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has finally avenged the deaths of 40 CRPF jawans who were martyred in the deadly Pulwama Terror Attack. IAF carried out air strikes on terrorist camps across the Line of Control (LoC) at around 3:30 this morning. 12 Mirage 2000 jets of IAF that took off from the Gwalior Airbase had dropped 1,000 kg laser-guided bombs across the Line of Control (LoC), completely destroying the major terror camps. Government sources have informed the death numbering around 300 terrorists.
Prime Minister had presided a CCS meeting at his residence in the morning. The Foreign Secretary did not get into the details of the strike, except to say that the number of terrorists eliminated in the attack was “large”. “Strikes happened only a short while ago. We are waiting for more details,” he said.
India's operation comes two week after the terror attack in Pulwama suicide attack in which they exploded a car full of bombs next to a security convoy. The Pakistan based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed responsibility for the February 14 attack and had also posted videos of the bomber, who had joined the terror group a year ago.

Background:
Surgical strikes were carried out on September 29, 2016 on seven terrorist launch pads beyond Line of Control (LoC) in retribution to an attack which happened on its base in J&K Uri earlier the same month.
