The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled for 12 days commencing from 14 to 25 May 2019.It is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world. This festival is one of the "Big Three” alongside the Venice Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival. Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu serves as jury president and American film director Jim Jarmusch’s comedy picture “The Dead don’t Die” was the opening movie of the festival.
Indian films remorsely may not have made it to the competition section of Cannes Film Festival but the actors who will be walking the red carpet at the reputable film festival are for sure high in number. Actor Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her debut at the Cannes red carpet and was seen leaving the US for France. Bollywood stars Diana Penty, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut all have their excellent plans to make a voguish appearance at the French Rivera town.
TV acterss and Big-Boss fame Hina Khan, makes her debut at the film festival with her short film, Lines where the TV actress opted for a peach colored suit for her interviews before her first appearance at the festival. One of the video on her Instagram Stories reveals her several dresses in a wardrobe. Hina posted a picture where she is has her back to the camera and she is wearing casual tracks and sports shoes. She has her hair tied in a pony. The Eiffel Tower can be seen in the background. “#JustBe...Restoring my energy.. Before it begins,” she wrote alongside the post.
