According to a government official, “Khan has reiterated Pakistan's position but India's stand on dialogue resumption is well known. It's unlikely that any new government will rush headlong into talks with Pakistan.”

Post the election India and Pakistan are likely to come face to face in June for the SCO summit in Kargyzstan.  The most important issue likely to be discussed will be cross-border terrorism and it unlikely that the event will see any substantive Indo-Pak engagement.
