The leading fashion brand Gucci has accessorized the religious Sikh turban at a lavishing price of 56,000 rupees.  The act angered the Sikh community when a white male was seen with a Sikh turban at Milan Fashion week last winter. This famous Italian fashion brand is facing the counterblast from an enormous public on Twitter for its cultural appropriation.

The brand is well known for its experimental fashion launches and as the reason decided to introduce “Indy Full Turbans” as their new cool accessory.  The new launched accessory looks familiar to that of a Sikh turban and stood as a cause of trouble.

The Flames of the controversy was intensified when the American luxurious departmental store “Nordstrom” sold the turban for $800. The product description read: It is a “gorgeously crafted turban” that “is ready to turn heads while keeping you in comfort as well as trademark style.

The sale was stopped on its website after the controversy came into the spotlight.

Gucci is yet to address this counterblast from the public. The brand recently took the full accountability of ‘blackface’ turtleneck jumpsuit over accusations of racism and for it as acts of cultural appropriation.
