A fine relief as the International Court of Justice finally suspended the death penalty on India’s Kulbhushan Jadhav

The most awaited decision has come in as good news for and India Kulbhushan Jadhav and his family.

The man who held the patience of a mountain seeing his family struggling for his unanticipated situations can feel some relief now.

The International Court of Justice suspended the ruled by Pakistan in April 2017. 

India fought real hard for Kulbhushan Jadhav in the court to bring him back to the country with all due respect. 

The Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted “I wholeheartedly welcome the verdict of International Court of Justice in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. It is a great victory for India. I thank the Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi for our initiative to take Jadhav's case before International Court of Justice.”

The big court announced on Wednesday that the death sentence will remain suspended and asked Pakistan to reconsider the sentence in the breach of Art 36(1). 

Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested by the Pakistan police was sentenced to death, ill-treated his family during their meet with Kulbhushan Jadhav and also completely denied India request to counsel him and finally termed him as a “spy”. Pakistan angered millions of Indians like never before. 

Well, we will have to wait and see how Pakistan will review into the orders of the big court to reconsider their decision on Kulbhushan Jadhav.
