Turkey intervened in the scene and said that his arrest is a “politically motivated”. Atilla is in New York and will remain with ICE until his deportation to Turkey next week.

Atilla was arrested after the arrest of Reza Sarraf in the case of violating sanctions on Iran who then gave his statement against Atilla. The statements made by Sarraf were the key to the arrest of Atilla.

Well, surely Turkey and Atilla will be feeling the relief after his deportation.
