Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Tuesday came under the scanner of social media after multiple Congress supporters shared his video in which the actor was seen cautioning the people from 'Jumlebaaz'. In the viral Aamir Khan video, the Dangal actor outlined the promise of Rs 15 lakh in everyone's bank account, ultimately cautioning the people to not get influenced by fake promises. Notably, Congress and other opposition parties call Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'Jumlebaaz'. However, after the video went viral, Aamir Khan clarified that he never supported any political party. Later the viral clip turned out to be Aamir Khan's deepfake video. Aamir informed that he has also filed an FIR. Below is what Aamir said on his deep fake video-

Aamir Khan's office issued a statement saying, "We want to clarify Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party in his 35-year career..He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through campaigns for the Election Commission for many past elections. We are alarmed now to see a recent viral video alleging Mr Khan is promoting a particular party. He would like to clarify this is a fake and totally untrue video. He has reported the matter to various authorities, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of Mumbai Police."

True Scoop News tried to dig more into Aamir Khan's deepfake video and it found that miscreants have tweaked the actor's video from his reality show Satyamev Jayatey. Aamir's original video is available on Star's YouTube channel with the title, "Sataymev Jayate Ep 4 Promo - Each Indian is entitled to one crore!" The video was shared on 30 August 2016.

In the original video, Aamir Khan said, "Friends, if you think that India is a poor country then you are absolutely wrong. Because every citizen here is a millionaire. Everyone should have at least Rs 1 crore. What did you say ? You don't have this amount? So where did your Rs 1 crore go? Know this Sunday at 11 am."

In Aamir Khan's viral deepfake video, the words "15 lakh" were added instead of Rs 1 crore. The last line where Aamir could be heard warning people against cheaters was also added to make it appear like he was targeting a political party i.e. the BJP.
