'Aamir Khan left his wife but not country': Film critic takes a dig at 'Mr. Perfectoinist' over Kashmir Files remark

Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files has shaken almost every section of Indian society. Not only in India, but The Kashmir Files has also become the talking point of the world as well. Based on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus, The Kashmir Files has kept its successful momentum on the box office and has earned more than Rs 150 crore till now. Recently, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan also expressed his admiration for The Kashmir Files and appealed that every Indian must watch the movie as it displays what happened in the past. Now self-proclaimed film critic and controversial actor Kamaal R Khan has taken a dig at Aamir Khan and reminded him of his intolerant remarks. 

Kamaal R Khan on Tuesday took to his Twitter handle and wrote that Aamir Khan has proved himself as a nationalist. His wife (Kiran) had told him to leave the country with his family due to growing intolerance in India. However, Aamir did totally opposite i.e. he got separated from his wife Kiran but not his country. 

 

In 2021, Aamir Khan and filmmaker Kiran Rao have announced their divorce. The couple announced divorce after 15 years of marriage in a joint statement. Aamir & Kiran had said that they will co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. The duo said they will continue with their professional partnership with the Paani Foundation.

Coming back to Aamir Khan's The Kashmir Files remark, Mr. Perfectionist during a a fan event for the S.S. Rajamouli film "RRR" in New Delhi expressed his admiration for Vivek Agnihotri's movie. 

Aamir had said, "Jo Kashmir main hua Kashmiri panditon ke saath woh yakeenan bahut dukh ki baat hai," he noted. "Aesi ek film jo bani hai us topic main woh yakeenan har Hindustani ko dekhna chahiye aur har hindustani ko yaad karna chahjye (What happened to Kashmiri Pandits is a matter of great sorrow. Such a film must be watched by all Indians so that they can remember what occurred)."

"This film has touched the emotions of all people who believe in humanity and that is what is so beautiful about it," Aamir said. "I will definitely watch the film and I am happy to see that the film is successful," he added.
