Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is going to announce 5 out of 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab soon. This will be the second and final list of AAP for Punjab. Earlier, AAP had declared candidates on 8 seats, out of which 5 were current ministers of Punjab government and former MLAs who left Congress and joined AAP. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given this information by posting on social media platform X.

 

 

Chabbewal likely to be candidate from Hoshiarpur:

Recently, Former Congress Minister Raj Kumar Chabbewal had moved to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with sources now suggesting that he is very likely to be AAP’s candidate from Hoshiarpur. Dr. Chabbewal was the Congress candidate from Hoshiarpur in 2019, but lost to BJP’s Som Parkash by 48,530 votes.

 

Dr Chabbewal is the second prominent Congress leader to join the AAP in a week. On Saturday, another Dalit leader and former Congress MLA from Bassi Pathana, Gurpreet Singh GP, joined the party. The AAP fielded him from Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.

 

AAP has already announced its Lok Sabha Candidates from 8 Punjab Constituencies, which are as follows:

  1. Amritsar: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal
  2. Khadoor: Laljit Singh Bhullar
  3. Jalandhar: Sushil Kumar Rinku
  4. Fatehgarh Sahib: Gurpreet Singh GP
  5. Faridkot: Karamjeet Anmol
  6. Bathinda: Gurmeet Singh Khudian
  7. Sangrur: Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer
  8. Patiala: Dr. Balbir Singh
