AAP faces criticism over 300 units of free electricity, Opposition asks Kejriwal to fulfill his promises

In Punjab, there has been a political uproar over 300 units of free electricity of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The state government yesterday released the electricity tariff for Punjab. Akali Dal and Congress said that CM Bhagwant Mann should fulfill the guarantee of Arvind Kejriwal. During the election, Kejriwal had assured 300 units of free electricity to every household in Punjab.

The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission said that there has been no increase in electricity rates due to the Covid epidemic. During this, a target of earning Rs 36149.60 crore has been set by electricity consumers.

Dr. Daljit Cheema, criticised AAP for not giving free 300 units to people. He said that we hope that in the special session of the Punjab Assembly, CM Bhagwant Mann will fulfill his election promise.


Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that we expected that Bhagwant Mann would fulfill the guarantee of 300 units of free electricity of Arvind Kejriwal in the first cabinet meeting. He said that now CM Mann should complete it in the next cabinet meeting. Apart from this, he should also fulfill the second guarantee of Arvind Kejriwal.
