In a recent reshuffle of 13 SSPs by the AAP government, the opponents have targeted the party for shifting IPS Dhruman Nimbale from Hoshiarpur.

Just a few weeks ago, Dhruman busted a gang of illegal sand miners and made one of the biggest cash seizures of Rs 1.53 crore. Congress MLA Pargat Singh has raised questions against AAP. Sharing a post on Twitter, he wrote, “AAP govt has transferred Hoshiarpur SSP @dhruman39, who dared to register a case against mining mafia. He had busted a Gunda-Tax racket &recovered ₹1.53 crore cash 5days ago. Instead of encouraging such honest officers, @BhagwantMann govt is transferring them. I hope this is not Badlav”

Dhruman Nimbale is a 2010 batch IPS officer. While being SSP in Tarn Taran, Moga and Hoshiarpur, he took strict action against illegal sand mining. He registered more than 100 cases related to it. A week ago, he had caught the gang collecting goonda tax by pretending to be a government officer. Dhruman Nimbale has been transferred 18 times in the last 8 years. During the last two transfers, there was a Congress government in Punjab.

The AAP faced criticism for transferring Nimbale because AAP had assured that they would end the sand mafia. For this, the government is also making a new policy. Despite this, the officer who took action on the sand mafia was shifted.
