Road show of former MP Sushil Kumar Rinku and former MLA Sheetal Angural after joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was organized today. During this, former MP Rinku and former MLA Sheetal Angural reached the road show with heavy force. BJP workers gave a warm welcome to Rinku and Angural. AAP workers have announced protest regarding the road show. Due to which security has been further tightened.
The atmosphere was tense as District AAP president Stephen Kler arrived with AAP workers to oppose the Former MP and MLA. Their protest at the site caused the situation became so tense that Jalandhar CP Swapan Sharma also arrived at the site with the police to control the situation. The Commissioner had to intervene between the parties to maintain order.
Police made strict security arrangements regarding the road show. Along with Punjab Police teams, anti-roid forces were also been deployed on the route. At the same time, a large number of supporters have arrived to participate in the road show.
The road show started from Swami Vivekananda Chowk (Workshop Chowk) at around 4 pm and will ended at Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk at around 6:45 pm. This is the first road show of both of them after leaving Aam Aadmi Party in which both the leaders addressed the people together. Jalandhar citizens however strongly opposed Sushil Rinku and Sheetal Angural. They called both of them traitors of Punjab and waved black flags expressing their disdain.
