There has been a political turmoil after the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal. AAP workers and Congress leaders in Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab are out in waves protesting against Kejriwal’s arrest. AAP leaders and supporters came out towards Chandigarh to protest against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, where uproars caused the police to use water cannons on them in order to control the situation.
The police already deployed here stopped them. When the atmosphere deteriorated, the police used water cannon on the workers followed by lathicharge was also done. On Friday, AAP workers reached Kurukshetra, Haryana to ‘gherao’ the residence of CM Nayab Saini. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann reached Arvind Kejriwal’s residence in Delhi in order to provide support to the Delhi CM’s family following his arrest.
On the other hand, AAP Punjab has also come out to revolt. State level protest is being organized by AAP workers in Mohali. Many senior leaders and ministers have attended it. This demonstration is going on outside Gurudwara Amb Saheb. Police have made strict security arrangements. AAP leaders and cabinet ministers Balkar Singh, Chetan Singh Joramajra and Charanjit Singh have reached the dharna.
