The consumption of alcohol carries health risks and certainly no
benefits among the younger population, but a few for the older adults if taken
in a small amount, tells a US-based study on this nature. This came with the study conducted by the authors of the Global Burden
of Disease Study, which is a rolling project based at the University of
Washington in Seattle, known and reputed for producing the most comprehensive
data on the cause of illness and deaths around the globe.
Four years back, a study on the matter highlighted that the occasional
drink was also harmful to health, and suggested that the government must find
methods to efficiently advise people to abstain from the same.
