Bhagwant Mann went to Municipal Bhawan in Chandigarh today to provide appointment letters to 4,358 constables.
After this, the CM interacted with the media personnel where he was questioned on Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s arrest by the Vigilance. This is how he responded to the same.
Punjab CM, Bhagwant Mann said “Law is doing its work. When the party came to power, we promised that action will be taken against those who have looted Punjab. All the arrests are a part of it. We are not doing any political vendetta. We never take action until and unless we have evidence.”
He further assured that all the officers and politicians involved in the whole scam will be found out and strict action will also be initiated against all those.
When he was asked about Congress claiming that the AAP government is trying to threaten them, CM Mann replied by saying that because of this type of language only they are at this stage.
“We all know how rudely Bharat Bhushan Ashu spoke to the DSP and a female DOC as well. All this shows that he has a lot of arrogance and attitude in himself,” he further added.
After all this, he said that from the starting only main aim of our party has been to remove unemployment and we have taken the first step towards it.
He informed that 25 appointment letters to the youth have been provided to them based on merit. The Police Department advertisement related to 6,000 posts of sub-inspector will soon be issued. Also, 17000 appointment letters have been provided to the employees in other departments.
The party is also planning to make the employees working on temporary contracts permanent. Consultation with lawyers has been going on in this regard so that no legal problem occurs later.
The main fact that he stated was that no appointment has been done by taking money or if someone is a relative of an influential person. All the appointments are given on a merit basis.
