O/O District Public Relations Officer, Jalandhar, January 8-In order to sensitize people about the Corona Virus and preventive measures,the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vishesh Sarangal on Fridaylaunched ‘Covid awareness posters’ to be distributed among people under JanAndolan Campaign by Punjab Skill Development Mission.
He said that these posters would educate residents about theprecautionary steps to be followed daily to keep the Covid at bay. He said thatthese posters would help to detail the people about the symptoms of the CoronaVirus and would dispel all the misconceptions regarding the pandemic.
He said that protective measures including wearingprotective masks, washing hands frequently, and maintaining two-yard distanceare cornerstones to contain the virus.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that districtadministration has already been running an extensive awareness campaign to makethe people aware of this fatal disease.
He reiterated that district administration is fully equippedwith the resources and the manpower to combat Covid-19, and no stone would beleft unturned for this noble cause besides soliciting people’s support to winover this ongoing battle against the pandemic.
Sarangal also urged the people to remain vigilant aboutsymptoms and if anyone develops a fever or influenza-like illness and comesinto contact with Covid positive person, he or she must contact the doctorwithout fail and undergo Covid testing.
