While it has been more than 3 years since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh was found dead under mysterious circumstances, fans are still eagerly waiting to get justice for SSR. While there are no words from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, a new development has come to the fore, however, it is linked to Disha Salian's death case. As per reports, Mumbai Police on Tuesday will form an SIT to probe the death of Disha Salian. For those who are unaware, Disha Salian was the former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and fans sense that there is a link between them especially in terms of their death. Notably, BJP leader Nitesh Rane in October had taken Aditya Thackeray's name in the Disha Salian's death case.
Talking about Mumbai Police SIT, the Additional Chief Secretary Home Sujata Saunik reportedly issued the orders for the investigation to the state government, which in turn asked the Mumbai Police to launch the probe. The SIT will be established under the leadership of Additional Commissioner North Region. It is pertinent to mention here that many Eknath Shinde camp MLAs have demanded that Aditya Thackeray be investigated in the Disha Salian death case. The BJP had even alleged that the Disha Salian death case was suppressed by the Maha Vikas Aghadi government under Uddhav Thackeray.
In October this year, BJP leader Nitesh Rane targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the Disha Salian case, demanding that his father and senior Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray address the matter. "Today Uddhav Thackeray will be addressing workers at Shivaji Park, Sanjay Raut says it is the day to speak the truth. So will Uddhav Thackeray in today's address speak the truth about his son Aaditya Thackeray's involvement in the Disha Salian murder case? Weren't drugs used in the party held before the death of Disha Salian?" Nitesh Rane said earlier.
For the unversed, Disha Salian died allegedly after falling off a high-rise building in the Malad area of Mumbai on June 8, 2020, a week before Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence.
On BJP's accusation against Aditya Thackeray, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader had said, "Out of fear, BJP is conspiring in all these things. It is a long-time strategy of the BJP to malign the image of the opposition leader by leveling fake charges, allegations of corruption, etc.."
It is worth mentioning that the parents of Disha Salian had written to (then) President of India Ramnath Kovind and requested him to take action against Union Minister Narayan Rane, his MLA son Nitesh, and others for allegedly spreading fake news about the circumstances of their daughter's death.
