Monsoon Rainfall Agriculture

Recently the delayed monsoon worried the states. The farmers prayed for the rain while others followed the ritual of frog marriage in the villages of Karnataka. It seems like all the prayers and rituals are helping the showers to sprint in India.

According to the Meteorological Department the parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and few other eastern Uttar Pradesh are blessed with the monsoon drizzles.

The good news is that the monsoons are reaching in the cities of Ratnagiri, Solapur, Adilabad. Brahmpuri, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. The rains are expected in places like Central Maharashtra, South Gujarat in the next 3 days.

The news that this season of monsoon is a 39 percent drop in the rainfall disappointed the entire nation. However, the rain deficit has depleted reservoirs and the parts of peninsular India are at a drought for the second successive year.

As per the reports the eastern Uttar Pradesh received 13 cm of rainfall whereas Patna received 33.0mn of rainfall between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Bihar received the monsoon rains on Friday and covered up the entire state till Saturday.

The rainfall in the month of June is going to remain normal and the Met Centre suggested the farmers proceed with the agricultural activities.
Well, this monsoon might not be the best of all but a better relief for many.

Rather than life betterment monsoon, this season of rain can better be called as much needed relief from the summers. Isn’t it?
