Punjab Budget: Mann Govt assures better health & education, 300 units of free electricity from July

In Sangrur AAP lost the Loksabha election. After losing the election, the Aam Aadmi Party made promises to bring a change in Education and health sectors. The changes in the budget are shown transparently during the tenure of CM Bhagwant Singh in which the party focused on the health and education sector. Due to this, the party won by great margins of 92 seats out of 117. For 2022-23 the government has increased the budget by 16% for health and 24% in the education sector. 
 
The AAP government has won and planned the changes for the betterment of the Education and health sector. The government has initiated changes in schooling for the betterment of the education system in Punjab and the help sector. The government has plans to open new hospitals for easy treatment of people and to enlarge the availability of doctors and hospitals for the people. Have a look at the changes.

For monitoring education in schools, the government has initiated the following things. Have a look

The government has decided to appoint an Estate manager in government schools who will take care of washrooms, drinking water and the infrastructure of the building. These things will not be handled by the principal and teachers anymore. 123 crores from the budget will be spent on this. 

Teachers and headMasters will be sent for short mid-term courses in national and international institutions. 30 crores will be spent on this. 

Results and analysis of the Transfer policy, Smart School policy, Padho Punjab padhao Punjab, and English booster school will be taken care of. For this help from institutions like CRRID, IDC, Punjab University, NCERT, and NIEPA will be taken. 

100 Schools will be developed into 'School of eminence'. This will be for the students of class nursery to 12th. Students will be taught to compete in world-class competition through digital classrooms, vocational training etc. 200 crores are given to this project. 

Smart classes will be built in 500 government schools. 40 crores will be spent on this.
In 424 crores, infrastructural development will be given to 2783 schools in villages and 212 schools in cities.

Uniforms will be given to the government school students of classes first to 8th of 23 crores.
In Punjab, the emergence of a youth program will be started in the students of class 11 ideas for startups. They will be given an appreciation amount of rs 2000. For this 50 crores has been taken.

In the health sector.

In budget related to health, there is an increase of 28.80 crores which is 4731 crores from 2021-22 's budget

17 Mohalla clinics will be built in 77 crores and this work will be started from 15 August onwards. 

For taking care of management and facilities of government hospitals a unit will be formalised. It'll be run by the government first, then the government will hand it over to agencies further.

In Patiala and Faridkot government super speciality hospitals will be built. The government has promised to make 3 super speciality hospitals by 2027.

The parish scheme of Delhi is to be implemented in Punjab, those who will take the injured to the hospitals will be appreciated and treatment will be given to the injured person.


The government income will be increased by 17.18% to 27% this year from thafrom21- 22. 27% of income will be from the GST given by the multinational companies income of the government will be increased by 17% from other taxes.
