Tesla boss and the world’s second richest man Elon Musk owned Twitter suspended an account of homegrown and its competitor microblogging site ‘Koo’ from its platform the day after Mastodon’s account was suspended.

The move has prompted sharp criticism from its co-founders, who questioned the logic and reason behind the move. Koo Eminence the Twitter account that got suspended was established a few days ago, which meant queries posed by celebrities and VIPs who wished to join the social media platform.

Taking to its Twitter handle Aprameya Radhakrishna, who is the CEO of Koo said, “One of the Koo handles on Twitter just got banned. For what? Because we compete with Twitter? So? Mastodon also got blocked today. How is this free speech and what world are we living in?”

While on the other hand Mayank Bidawatka, who is the platform’s co-founder took a sharp jibe at Musk on the move for ‘shooting the messenger’, he asked, “How much more control does the guy (Musk) need?”

Twitter or the Twitter India unit is yet on respond to the logic behind suspending Koo’s handle, which came a day after the Musk-owned social network banned accounts of roughly half a dozen journalists who cover the company, for alleged violation of the doxxing rules.
