Recently the song of late Singer Sidhu Moosewala, ‘SYL’ was removed from Youtube. After this, now the government banned Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal's song ‘Rihai’. The song has been banned on Youtube by the government of India. The song is said to have been in support of the release of Sikh prisoners.

Sidhu Moosewala's song SYL has been banned recently. SYL stands for Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal, also known as 'SYL Canal'. The 214 km long Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal has been a point of contention between Punjab and Haryana for more than three decades.

Sidhu's song was all about the dispute between Punjab and Haryana over the issue of SYL canal water and the captive Sikhs, in view of which the government has decided to ban it.
