The VVIP chopper AgustaWestland scam case has taken a new turn on Monday as the alleged middleman Rajiv Saxena turned approver after the CBI special court allowed him to do so. He is now being considered the main lead to track down the key point in the bribe trial in the VVIP scam.

Rajiv Saxena had filed a plea backed by the Enforcement Directorate seeking an apology to the special CBI court after which the court allowed him to turn approver.

As per sources, the Enforcement Directorate emphasized the importance of Rajiv Saxena as a witness in the case and said that it had examined the application filed by him.

Saxena got arrested from his residence in Dubai on January 30. After arresting the Dubai-based businessman, the UAE security agencies extradited him to India the same night.
After being under arrest, he had been granted bail on medical grounds which was not opposed by the Enforcement Directorate.

His statement was recorded on March 6 after which the probe agency sent those copies to special judge Arvind Kumar.
