Indian Airlines, Air India is all set to launch special low-fat diet meals for its crew members in an attempt to be more health-conscious.
According to the airline, taking into consideration the health factor of the crew members, the initiative was taken up by the Director Operations to revise the in-flight food menu for the crew.
The special low-fat diet meal for the crew will be devised on a day-wise basis, the airline added. It is being done in order to provide light and healthy meals for the staff members along with a homely (Indian) feeling.
As per GM Catering, the new changes in the menu will be introduced only on ex- Delhi/Mumbai flights. The changes will come into effect from today, which is September 15, 2019, midnight on all Domestic and International flights.
The same changes will be applicable for all flying crew members like the cockpit and cabin crew, the airline said.
