Akshay mourns 90's composer "Shravan Rathod" death & thinks back on how he created magic in 'Dhadkan'

Following the death of music composer Shravan Rathod due to COVID 19 complications, Akshay Kumar took to social media to express his condolences to his relatives. The singer recalled how Nadeem-Shravan’s music wowed audiences in the 1990s.

The COVID 19 pandemic has been wreaking havoc on Indian lives, and music composer Shravan Rathod, of the Nadeem-Shravan duo, died on Thursday at the age of after a long fight with COVID 19l. Akshay Kumar was saddened to learn of the death of the legendary music composer of Bollywood films from the 1990s. The celebrity took to Twitter to express his sorrow over the death of the music composer.

He thought back to his mystical music from the 1990s. Shravan also composed the music for Akshay's legendary film Dhadkan.



Akshay shared the tweet and wrote, "Very sad to know about the passing of music composer Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan created magic for many films in 90s and later, including Dhadkan that has remained legendary in my career. Deepest Condolences to his family."

Back in the 1990s, the music composer collaborated with Nadeem Saifi on several films, one of which was the Akshay and Shilpa Shetty starrer Dhadkan, which was a frenzy at the time. Shravan was reportedly admitted to Mumbai's SL Raheja Hospital.

Shravan's grieving son said, "He passed away around 10:15 PM tonight. Please pray for his soul." 

Several Bollywood friends and colleagues mourned Shravan's death as soon as the news of his death became public. Salim Merchant, Shreya Ghoshal, Pritam, and a few others used social media to express their condolences to his family and to remember the composer's legacy.

After testing positive for COVID 19, the music composer was admitted to the hospital. Nadeem Saifi was heartbroken after his death. He shared his sadness in a conversation. He also expressed his helplessness at not being able to physically say goodbye to his mate.He said,"I am in deep pain as I say this but my friend and my companion, my partner of so many years is no more. It has left such a vacuum."
