Famous singer and actor Ali Zafar on Wednesday left his fans around the world puzzled after he congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Team for defeating South Africa in the Cricket World Cup 2023. Pakistan will be locking horns with South Africa on Friday, however, Ali Zafar took to his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, and congratulated Babar Azam & Co for defeating the Proteas. Ali Zafar's PAKvsSA post went viral in no time and many believed it is a gesture of the Pakistani actor to fuel confidence in the Men In Green.
"Congratulations Pakistan on your victory against South Africa on Friday," wrote Ali Zafar.
Notably, Ali Zafar's post on Pakistan vs South Africa came after the Men In Green registered their third consecutive loss in the World Cup 2023 after Afghanistan defeated them by 8 wickets. Before, Afghanistan, Pakistan were defeated by arch-rival India in Ahmedabad and thereafter, Australia in Bengaluru. As a result, Pakistan lost three consecutive matches and slipped to fifth position at the points table. It means Pakistan will now have to win their all matches in order to keep their World Cup dreams alive in 2023.
