After Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol, and Katrina Kaif, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has become the latest victim of deepfake. While the Government of India has assured to bring strict laws against deepfakes, Alia Bhatt's morphed video is going viral on social media. Many social media users are claiming that the clip going viral is Alia Bhatt's private video, however, the claim is totally fake.
In the Alia Bhatt deep fake video, the Bollywood actress's face can be seen put on a different girl. In the leaked Alia Bhatt viral video, the girl can be seen showcasing her body and doing some adult gestures. Notably, miscreants in the Alia Batt deep fake video have also used her voice in which the actress can be heard advertising a cosmetic cream. However, the original video showcased a girl grooving on a Punjabi song and doing some adult gestures.
Notably, Alia Bhatt recently won Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 for Best Actor (female) in Web Original Film-Darlings.

Government of India on deep fake threat
As per reports, the Centre will assign a special officer to look into the deepfake menace on online platforms and also to assist citizens in filing FIRs as and when they spot fake content online, Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar recently said.
This comes after the internet witnessed a surge in deepfake videos (a technological phenomenon that blurs the line between reality and fiction). A string of deepfake videos of Bollywood actors including Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif and Kajol went viral online over the last month, which raised serious concerns.
