Alia Bhatt is one of the most successful and significant actresses in Bollywood. Despite being immensely loved by the audience, Alia Bhatt is subjected to various criticism and trolling. Alia Bhatt debuted in the year 2012 under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Production with the movie Student of the Year. From making fun of her IQ level to labeling her as the product of nepotism, Alia Bhatt has faced it all.

Recently, Alia Bhatt has again become the talk of the town as her earlier interviews have resurfaced. In 2016, Alia Bhatt pointed out the love life of Taylor Swift and how she would be sl*t shamed if she would have dated multiple men in India. Many users trolled this statement and said that she was trying to demean Taylor Swift.

For the unversed, in the year 2016, Alia Bhatt during an interview with HuffPost revealed that Indian actresses keep their personal life private as they get judged very easily. Stating this, she took example of Taylor Swift and said that look at Taylor Swift, she has dated almost everybody. She added if Taylor would have been in India and dated multiple men, she’d be totally shamed for making those choices. Alia Bhatt also said, “The reason actresses don’t talk about their private lives is because in our society there is a lot of slut-shaming. Eventually, I have a responsibility and I have to protect myself.”

Just a day back, Reddit posted some glimpses of this interview on their page after which Alia Bhatt was brutally trolled over the remark she made about Taylor Swift.

One user wrote, “She, herself, is shaming Miss Swift. Girl, get your facts right, she didn’t date everyone and all at once and stfu.”

Another user wrote, “Taylor hasn’t dated EVERYBODY. Lol, she just shamed Taylor and then spoke for sl*t shaming.”

Many were even in support of her statement. One person commented, “She’s wrong for that but can you focus on the point she’s trying to make?”

While another person wrote, “What she said is totally correct.”

It seems like Swifties and Alia Bhatt fans have got into a never-ending war.
