Ambala Panchayat Elections: Party supporters allegedly distribute money to buy votes, CCTV viral

Candidate Sunil Kumar has accused Rajan's supporters of distributing money in the village.

Shocking information from Ambala has come to fore just a night before the panchayat elections were to be held. Reportedly, supporters of one of candidates contesting for elections were forcefully distributing money to locals in order to get votes. Whole matter was captured on CCTV.

As per information received, person identified as Raju who is a resident of Pilkhani Village revealed that 2 youths named Sumit Aggarwal and Sandeep Aggarwal came to him at 8 in night and forcibly handed him over money, in return they asked him to cast vote for a selected candidate. On denying the same, he said that both of him threatened as well. Soon after this Raju went to nearby police station and registered a complaint against accused. Post-knowing about this, SHO Yashdeep Singh reached the spot with his team and carried out an investigation regarding the same.

Accused, Sandeep Aggarwal termed all allegation against him baseless and said that Raju is dealing with his middleman from last 4-5 years and demanded 5 thousand rupees from him to sell his crops to them. He said that it was for purchase of crop that Sandeep’s brother was putting money in his pocket and not for reason stated by Raju.
