Amidst 'Tawang tension', undated video of Indian Army thrashing Chinese PLA goes viral; Watch

On 9th December 2022, a clash took place between Indian and Chinese soldiers on the Tawang border of Arunachal Pradesh. While addressing parliament regarding the India-China border clash Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh stated that it was on 9th December 2022 that the People’s Liberation Army troops encroached the LAC (Line of Actual Control) in an attempt to change the status quo. He further added that the Indian Soldiers gave a befitting reply by stopping the PLA trying to take over India’s territory and forced them to step back.

This clash between India China troops has already become a topic of discussion and while all this is going on, an undated video has gone viral over all social media platforms that witnessed a clash between India soldiers and Chinese troops. The video shows PLA trying to cross the barb wire with sticks, batons and rifles in their hands while the India soldiers are also fighting against it and stopping them from doing so. Later on, Indian Army’s fierce attempt to fight against them instills a fear in the PLA after which they return from there. Various leaders have also posted the video stating that it is of the recent clash.

As per the sources, this is not the latest but an undated video of clash between Indian Army and PLA. The source further added that is not the recent video of a clash that took place on 9th December 2022. He stated that these small clashes take place on Tawang border as it comes under the mutually agreed disputed areas. He also revealed that these clashes by PLA are initiated twice a year, one in camping season and other before the winter season. The source clearly denied to the fact that video going viral is of latest Tawang clash but said that it might be dated to a clash of year 2020.
