As farmers from Punjab and Haryana continue to protest at the Nirankari Samagam Ground in Delhi’s Burari against the centre’s newly passed farm law, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday had appealed the protesting farmer's that the government is ready to have discussions and listen to their grievances on the matter.

“ If farmers' unions want to hold discussions before December 3 then, I want to assure you all that as soon as you shift your protest to structured place, the government will hold talks to address your concerns the very next day,” said Amit Shah.

He added, “At many places, farmers are staying with their tractors and trollies on highways in this cold. I appeal to them that Delhi Police are ready to shift you to big ground, please go there. You will be given police permission to hold programmes there. I appeal to the protesting farmers that the govt of India is ready to hold talks. The Agriculture Minister has invited them on December 3 for discussion. Govt is ready to deliberate on every problem & demand of the farmers.”

"Delhi Chalo" campaign against the Centre's laws by thousands of farmers has taken an ugly turn. All farmers have taken water cannons and tear gas shells in Haryana to reach the Delhi border on Friday. However, the protesters were not allowed in Delhi.

As the protesters continued their march, the Centre had fixed a spot for their demonstrations. But they refused to go to another venue to protest and camped at different places on the outskirts of the national capital.
