Amritpal Singh 'fixed his mustaches with beard' to change look: Punjab Police

The manhunt for Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh has entered the 5th day but still, pro-Khalistan leader is absconding. Every day various developments are reported in the crackdown going on against Amritpal Singh. On Tuesday evening videos had surfaced showing Amritpal Singh changing vehicles from Mercedes to Brezza and then to a motorcycle. On Wednesday, CCTV footage surfaced showing how Amritpal Singh changes his vehicle in order to escape from Punjab Police. While on Thursday, a picture of Amritpal Singh went viral in which he was seen escaping in 'bike thela' after his motorcycle broke down. IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill conducted a press conference on Thursday at around 5 pm and made several revelations about Amritpal Singh’s escape and his new look to dodge Punjab Police.

IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill stated that Punjab Police was not able to catch Amritpal Singh despite heavy deployment of security forces because he changed his look. He stated that Amritpal Singh changed his entire attire from how he was spotted while police were following him. Amritpal Singh wore a pink colored turban, goggles and was wearing a pant-shirt. Apart from this, IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill revealed that Amritpal Singh had mustaches fixed with his beard so that nobody is able to recognize him and inform the police about his location.

Apart from this, IGP stated in the press conference that Amritpal Singh took help of unexpected vehicles to dodge police and escape from Punjab. First, he changes his car from Mercedez to Brezza. Later, he went on a bike from Nangal Ambia Gurudwara. Post this, he took help of a cart or thela to cross a river during escape. IGP revealed that as per CCTV he was not able to cross the river after which he went from an old bridge to cross Sheikhupura.

Adding to this, IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill added that Punjab Police will release 177 individuals out of 207 detained in a crackdown on Amritpal Singh. He stated that 177 individuals are innocent and were just brain washed by some anti-nationalist.
