The manhunt for Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh has entered the 5th day but still, pro-Khalistan leader is absconding. Every day various developments are reported in the crackdown going on against Amritpal Singh. On Tuesday evening videos had surfaced showing Amritpal Singh changing vehicles from Mercedes to Brezza and then to a motorcycle. On Wednesday, CCTV footage surfaced showing how Amritpal Singh changes his vehicle in order to escape from Punjab Police. While on Thursday, a picture of Amritpal Singh went viral in which he was seen escaping in 'bike thela' after his motorcycle broke down. As per information, Amritpal Singh’s last location was reported to be Sheikhupura Phillaur on 18th March at 6:46 pm.
In the latest development over crackdown against Amritpal Singh, it is being stated that Waris Punjab De Chief was last seen in Haryana’s Shahbad. Haryana Police has confirmed information about the same. They have stated that Amritpal Singh stayed on March 19-20 Shahbad after escaping from Sheikhupura Phillaur. Adding to this, if police sources are to be believed Amritpal Singh has fled from Punjab and gone to Uttarakhand.
Reportedly, police are also questioning the alleged woman to whom Amritpal Singh contacted after coming to Haryana. They are confirming whether Amritpal knew the woman or he had forcefully entered her house. Apart from the neighboring states of Punjab, an alert has also been issued for Amritpal in Uttarakhand. Gurughars are also being investigated.
Along with this, another case has been lodged against them for helping an accused in escaping from police’s custody. These associates include Manpreet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Harpreet Singh and Gurpesh Singh.
