Amritpal Singh likely to be hiding in THIS district of Punjab, search operation with drones initiated

The hunt for Amritpal Singh has crossed 10 days and the Punjab Police is yet to nab the Waris Punjab De Chief. Recently, Amritpal Singh was almost caught by the Punjab Police when he reportedly returned to Jalandhar. Amritpal Singh was chased by police on 28th March 2023 however; he escaped from there along with Papalpreet Singh. The search operation has been initiated by police to nab Amritpal Singh as there are speculations that he is hiding in Hoshiarpur.

Reportedly, Punjab Police is conducting a search operation in and nearby areas of Hoshiarpur with the help of drones. Amritpal Singh is likely to be hiding in a camp near the Kapurthala border in Jalandhar. Recently, a video of Amritpal Singh went viral where he was seen addressing the people of Punjab. As per the information, the video was shot earlier in a region adjoining Nepal while it was telecasted yesterday. Adding to this, Amritpal Singh's video did not only go viral in Punjab but also in countries like Canada, UK and Dubai.

Talking about the video, Amritpal Singh who is fleeing from the Punjab Police for the past 10 days sought help from Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar and asked to organize Sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi i.e. April 14, 2023. Notably, Amritpal in his statement tried to incite Sikhs and called them to come out of their homes against the injustice. Apart from this, Amritpal stated that the NSA invoked against him and his aides is not justified.

On 30th March 2023, it was reported that Amritpal Singh was likely to surrender in Golden Temple or Talwandi Sabo but did not arrive there. According to police sources, Amritpal has put 3 conditions for surrender.

1) He should not be tortured or beaten by the Police is he gives his surrender

2) National Security Act (NSA) imposed on him should be revoked

3) He should be kept in Punjab jail and not to be sent to Assam or any other state's jail

Post all this, India’s Home Minister Amit Shah spoke openly on the issue. He stated that cntral government is standing strong with Punjab and will not let anything happen to the state. He said that meetings are being carried out with CM Mann after almost every 3 months so that law and order of Punjab is well maintained.
