Amritpal Singh who is fleeing from the Punjab Police for the past 10 days sought help from Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar and asked to organize Sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi i.e. April 14, 2023. Notably, Amritpal in his statement tried to incite Sikhs and called them to come out of their homes against the injustice. Not only this, but he also appealed to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar to actively come forward against the injustice carried out by the Punjab Police towards him. Amritpal Singh flees from Police for the second time

Amritpal Singh was almost caught by the Punjab Police when he reportedly returned to Jalandhar. The Pro Khalistan leader who was in Innova (PB10CK0527) was reportedly chased by Punjab Police. The Police recently started tailing Amritpal Singh from Phagrwa. Police had got intel that Amritpal Singh is mulling surrender but before that he will be giving an interview to an international news outlet and therefore he was going to Jalandhar. However, Punjab Police started tailing him, and seeing the cops, Amritpal along with associates turned his car towards Hoshiarpur and ultimately fled from the spot leaving his car behind. Following that Punjab Police launched a search operation along with the help of CRPF and are conducting raids to nab him. Now, it has been reported that Amritpal Singh will be surrendering in Golden Temple/Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar or Bathinda's Talwandi Sahib.

It is pertinent to mention here that after getting the input, the Punjab Police has beefed up security in both Amritsar and Bathinda. The Police has been checking cars who are entering the city to nab Amritpal Singh. As per reports, Amritpal was hiding in Lakhimpur Kheri of Uttar Pradesh. Punjab Police has arrested two people in the crackdown of Amritpal Singh and both of them belong to Lakhimpur Kheri. Amritpal was with Papalpreet and one other person when he was fleeing from the Police yet again. Ultimately, Amritpal managed to escape from the Police clutches. Reportedly, in an attempt to flee, Amritpal Singh's car entered into a Gurudwara of Marnaiya Village of Hoshiarpur. Amritpal and his associates then jumped across the wall of the Gurudwara leaving the car running behind.
