Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh has recently been under limelight for quite some days post the violent clash between his supporters and Ajnala Police. Amritpal Singh announced a peaceful protest outside Ajnala Police Station which however turned violent for the release of his close aid Lovepreet Singh Toofan.

Post this, Amritpal Singh has now landed into another controversy. A picture of Waris Punjab De Chief riding on his Mercedez car is going viral. Many questions regarding the owner of the car or about the person who has given it to him have surfaced. In the picture that is going viral, it can clearly be seen that the number plate belongs to Haryana.

Reportedly, the Mercedez car in which Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh is often spotted is registered in the name of a businessman who is also a BJP supporter from Haryana. The name under which his car is registered in the Regional Transport Authority is Prem Nath Mihani. Also, an NOC for the re-registration of the car was issued on 17th January 2023.

To clarify that Waris Punjab De Organization has no relation with any political party, Amritpal Singh’s uncle Harjeet Singh has issued a statement. He stated that neither the car belongs to them nor is it registered under the organizations. He further added that it belongs to a person named Randhir Singh who currently lives abroad.

For the time being, it cannot be clearly said whether the car belongs to a BJP supporter or a businessman living abroad who has given the car to the organization.

For the unversed, Amritpal Singh came back to Punjab from Dubai almost 6 months back and announced himself as the Chief of Waris Punjab De Organization started by Deep Sidhu who died in a road accident. On 25th September 2022 Amritpal Singh turned ‘Amritdhari Sikh’ in a grand event organized at Anandpur Sahib, Bhindrawala's native village.

His transformation from a transporter to Amritdhari Sikh has been quite fast and fascinating. Many people call him Bhindrawala 2.0 as he dresses up like him, he follows him blindly and has same dreams as he had. Amritpal Singh raised the issue of turning Punjab into Khalistan from his various social media handles and tried to disturb the harmony of the state through instigating speeches because of which his Twitter, as well as Instagram accounts were suspended.
