Ever since Amritpal Singh has become the President of Waris Punjab De (WPD) organization launched by deceased actor Deep Sidhu in September 2021, he has come under the scanner of investigative agencies of both Centre and the State for his 'pro-Khalistan' remarks. Amritpal Singh's war-mongering speech in a gathering has raised concern, especially for the Government of India as he openly appealed to the youths of Punjab to declare war against 'Delhi Hukumat'. Amritpal Singh took charge as the President of the 'Waris Punjab De' organization in a ‘Dastaarbandi’ ceremony held at Moga’s Rode which happens to be the native village of the slain Bhindranwale. Amritpal Singh's way of speaking and dressing resembles to Bhindranwale and therefore he raised many eyebrows. Apart from this, a pro-Khalistan rally in Hoshiarpur, Punjab is getting viral on social media. Anti-India slogans were raised and all this happened in presence of state police pro-Khalistan rally in Hoshiarpur. Pro-Khalistan rally in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur's pro-Khalistan rally earned a lot of traction on social media. Questions were raised on Punjab Police how they allow an anti-India rally was allowed. In fact, multiple videos started trending on social media showing chants of 'Punjab Banega Khalistan'. Analyst Anshul Saxena took to his Twitter handle and shared Hoshiarpur pro-Khalistan rally video. Sharing the video, Anshul wrote, "Khalistan rally at Hoshiarpur in Punjab with slogans of "Hum Kya Chahte Azadi" and "Punjab Banega Khalistan". How did Punjab Police allow the anti-India rally? And, Yesterday, Terror outfit Khalistan Tiger Force operative Harpreet Singh arrested with grenades & pistols in Moga."

Amritpal Singh reigniting Bhindrawale's movement

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) recently notified the Punjab State Government and its security agencies to remain vigilant over Amritpal Singh. Not only this, reports suggest that the MHA has also asked the State government to send a file over Amritpal Singh and his organization Waris Punjab De. Strong reactions came from the Punjab Government after Amritpal Singh addressed a gathering in Rode, the native village of extremist Sikh leader late Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Amritpal in his speech allegedly made multiple anti-India remarks and even appealed to the Sikh youths to 'fight for aazadi'.

Not only this, but Amritpal's war-mongering speech also asked the gathering to fight against the 'Dilli hakumat' (Central government) as they are sending 'Bhaiyas' (derogatory term) from Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, and Himachal in order to outnumber Sikhs in Punjab. Currently, Mohali Police is conducting an investigation after a journalist accused Amritpal of threatening him and his family.

Multiple terror module busts in Punjab

On daily bases, the Punjab Police and security agencies are busting terror modules in the state. On Wednesday, Punjab Police busted a cross-border arms’ smuggling module with the arrest of two of its members, including a prisoner. Police also recovered 10 foreign-made pistols, including five .30 bore (made in China) and five 9mm (made in USA Beretta), along with eight spare magazines.

In another case, the Punjab Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a Pakistan-Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) backed terror module with the arrest of its two operatives from the Chamkaur Sahib area. Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav said the terror module is being operated by Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, who is a close associate of Khalistan Tiger Force’s Canada-based chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

On October 4, the Punjab police have busted yet another ISI-backed narco-terror module and arrested its main operative. The accused has been identified as Yograj Singh, alias Yog, a resident of Rajoke village, in Tarn Taran. The police have confiscated an RDX-loaded IED (Tiffin bomb), two AK-56 rifles along with magazines, 30 cartridges and a pistol of .30 bore, besides 2 kg of heroin from his possession.
