Kirandeep Kaur recently reached Dibrugarh Jail to meet Amritpal Singh, the heir of Punjab De Mukhi and a Khalistani supporter. This is the first meeting between the two after Amritpal Singh's arrest and imprisonment in March of this year. Kirandeep Kaur was granted permission to visit her husband in jail, and she left her home in Amritsar on Monday along with a group of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee members and lawyers.

Kirandeep Kaur had traveled from Amritsar to Delhi by road on Monday and stayed in Delhi until Thursday morning. She then left for Assam to meet her husband in Dibrugarh Jail. Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh's uncle and cousin had also visited him in jail on Thursday. During his message to the community, Amritpal Singh advised the Sikhs caught in this case to fight the case unitedly.

It should be noted that Kirandeep Kaur was stopped from going abroad at the Amritsar airport on April 20. She was going to London when immigration officials detained and interrogated her for three hours before returning her home. This visit to meet her husband in jail comes after almost one and a half months of being denied permission to travel abroad and see her husband.

Amritpal Singh was arrested on March 18, along with his supporters, after police action in Jalandhar. He had managed to escape, but he was later caught and imprisoned in Dibrugarh Jail. This meeting between Kirandeep Kaur and Amritpal Singh holds significant importance in the ongoing legal case against him and his supporters.
