Amritsar: 2 armed robbers loot Rs. 18 lakhs from Punjab National Bank, CCTV Viral

Shocking incident took place in Amritsar where a robbery of Rs. 18 lakhs was carried out by miscreants. Reportedly, two armed robbers looted Rs. 18 lakhs from Punjab National Bank Amritsar and fled from the scene. Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

As per information received, two robbers entered the Punjab National Bank in the morning at around 10:55 am by covering their faces and wearing gloves on their hands. They first took all the employees hostage at gunpoint and then threatened the manager to provide them with the cash. Both the robbers took all the money from the cash counter and fled from the scene.

Post the incident, police were informed about the same and they reached the spot. The whole incident got captured on the CCTV installed inside the bank and is now the prime evidence for the police officials. The CCTV footage clearly shows both the robbers came riding on an Activa.

The police officials stated that robbers had information that no security guard was deployed in the bank for last 3 years. Robbers took advantage of the same and carried out the robbery.
