After 3 low-intensity blasts in a week in Heritage Street near Golden Temple, Punjab Police on Thursday announced that 5 conspirators have been arrested. DGP Punjab, Gaurav Yadav took to his Twitter handle and announced that Amritsar low-intensity explosion cases have been solved and under it, 5 persons have been arrested. As per reports, the motive behind multiple blasts near Golden Temple was to disturb peace and harmony. As per Punjab Police, the conspirators applied explosives used in firecrackers for the blast. Now, CCTV footage is going viral on social media in which the conspirators can be seen.

The CCTV footage linked to the accused of the Amritsar blast shows the 5 people talking to each other and going downstairs in what can be seen as a Sarai (Inn). As per reports, the 5 accused were arrested after a third blast took place in a week. At 12:10 am near the langar hall of the Golden Temple, a sound of loud explosion was heard. As a result, the Golen Temple management immediately informed the Police, and following that the blast site was sealed.
After investigating and searching the area, 5 people including a couple were arrested from Shri Guru Ramdas Sarai near Langar Hall. Not only this but 8 bombs were also found in their possession. As per reports, the Police identified the two accused from the CCTV who were seen walking and going in the Verandah of the Sarai. Both the accused went to sleep after the blast. Reports also suggest that the accused threw the bomb from the window or terrace of the Sarai.

Amritsar was jolted with three low-intensity explosions in a week. The first blast took place on Saturday on Heritage Street near Golden Temple, while the second blast took place on Monday. Finally, the third low-intensity explosion again took place, following which 5 people were arrested after being identified through CCTV footage, Punja DGP confirmed that the case linked to the blasts has been solved.
