Amritsar: BSF shoots down ‘Made in China’ drone entering from Pakistan

A Pakistani drone was shot down by Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Dhanoe Kalan village in Punjab's Amritsar Sector on Friday as it crossed into the Indian Territory from Pakistan. At about 01:15 hrs, Border Security Force troops deployed at the border heard the buzzing sound of a suspected flying object/drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area falling near Village - Dhanoe Kalan, Amritsar Sector.

 As per the drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected flying object by firing and bringing it down. The whole area was cordoned and Police & concerned agencies were immediately informed. Further, BSF troops recovered a black colored Quadcopter (Drone), "Made in China", Model - DJI Matrice - 300" near Village - Dhanoe Kalan at around 0615 hrs.

Earlier this month, BSF recovered 4 kg of heroin dropped by a drone along the border in Havelian village of Tarn Taran district. Alert troops of BSF once again were able to capture a drone and foiled smuggling attempt.
