Amritsar: Cross firing between gangsters and Police, 2 arrested; watch video

As per the latest information received from Amritsar, cross-firing took place between gangsters and Amritsar Police. During this, 2 gangsters hid in a house while the other 3 managed to escape from the scene. Reportedly, police have arrested 2 gangsters and search operation to find the other 3 has been initiated. Large number of weapons were also recovered from them.

Reportedly, the incident reported is from 40 feet road located in Narayangarh of the Chheharta area. Police got a tip-off that wanted gangsters were coming to Amritsar in a car after which barricading was done in the whole area. During checking gangsters started firing at police officials and in retaliation, police also fired at the accused’s vehicle.

Two of the gangsters entered into a house and hid there while the other three managed to escape from there. As per the information, arrested gangsters were identified as Ravi resident of Kapatgarh Amritsar and Rafi resident of Tarn Taran. 5 foreign-made pistols and more than two dozen bullets have also been recovered from their vehicle.

Amritsar Police Commissioner IPS officer Jaskaran Singh reacting to this incident stated that police received a tip-off that some criminals are hiding in the mentioned area after which they started to search for them. During this 2 got arrested while 3 are absconding. He further added that weapons were also recovered from them.
