Cases of youth consuming drugs in Amritsar have now become a common phenomenon. Even after several videos have surged up, no strict action seems to have been initiated by the Amritsar Police. Another video has sprung up on social media platforms from Mohkampura where a young man in under the influence of drugs unaware of his surroundings.
This video is from Halka East of Amritsar, Preet Nagar Area which is already infamous for frog drug addiction. A huge cloud of drug addiction hovers in the area. The video that has now gone viral shows a youth sitting unconsciously in an e-rickshaw. Also, an empty injection of intoxicant has can be seen near his feet. It is alleged that the youth was found in this condition after consuming drugs.
After several videos have spurred up, Mohkampura has gone on to become infamous for drugs. The police have increased their search operations here in the last two months. Till now almost 10 cases have been registered with NDPS.
