Amritsar: FIR registered against 25 people including Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh over kidnapping

Barinder Singh said that there he was beaten up by Amritpal Singh and his other companions just for posting a video opposing the Waris Punjab De Chief’s views.

In the latest development a case has been registered against Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh and his other 25 companions on charges of kidnapping and assault on Thursday night. The police have also included charges of robbery in the FIR based on the statement given by victim Barinder Singh who is currently in Civil Hospital Ajnala.

Reportedly, the incident took place in Ajnala. The complainant Barinder Singh is resident of Salempur village in Chamkaur Sahib district. As per the information received, a video was posted by the victim in which he was seen opposing views of Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh. AS per the statement of Barinder Singh, he went to pay obeisance at someone’s death anniversary in Ajnala. There some Nihang Singhs talked to him sweetly and then abducted Barinder from there. He further added that the kidnappers then took him near Jandiala Guru.

Barinder Singh said that there he was beaten up by Amritpal Singh and his other companions just for posting a video opposing the Waris Punjab De Chief’s views. The victim was later admitted to Ajnala’s Civil Hospital with severe injuries. The accused also threatened victim to not tell about this to anyone otherwise the consequences will not be good.

The police official who is investigating the matter said that they have registered an FIR against the accused based on the statements of victim and have initiated probe. He further added that the matter is being investigated and action will be taken only after that.

Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh recently got married to a UK-based NRI girl in an intimate wedding.
