In a bizarre development, the people of Tarn Taran, Punjab have constructed a replica of New York's Statue of Liberty atop an under-construction building. The video shows locals placing the replica on the building’s roof. The video then zooms out and gives a glimpse of the entire building and a crane parked at the construction site.
As per information, a person from Tarn Taran thought of this idea after his US Visa got rejected. The video was also shared on X by verified user AIN (Parody). It was captioned, “Man from Punjab installs Statue of Liberty on his rooftop after his US visa application gets rejected”.
This sight is not uncommon in villages in Punjab where people put up structures such as water tanks and display models in the shape of a football, a religious symbol, or other symbols. This is a way to reflect their beliefs, wealth, interest, profession, identity etc. For example, most people put up airplanes on their roofs to reflect their desire to settle abroad.
