In the latest development, young man was shot by miscreants in New Azad Nagar, Sultanwind Road of Amritsar. 4 bullets were shot at the victim after which he was rushed to nearby hospital. Police have initiated investigation on the same.
Reportedly, a middle-aged man was shot 4 times by miscreants in Amritsar due to old rivalry. The victim was standing on the road when accused fired at him. In order to save himself, he entered a shop but the assailant followed him inside and shot him. Post this, attackers fled from the scene. The victim has been identified as Gagandeep Singh Kukku who is currently getting treatment in a private hospital.
After getting the information about same, ADCP Abhimanyu Rana, ACP Gurpratap Singh Saheta reached the spot and initiated an investigation. ADCP Abhimanyu Rana while talking about the incident revealed that accused have been identified as Balkar Singh alias Labba and his brother who attacked Gagandeep due to rivalry. Police officials further added that along with these two accused, 4-5 more were involved and search operation for them is going on.
