Another CCTV footage has got by the Amritsar Police related to the murder of a 35-year-old youth over smoking by the Nihang Singhs. According to the information, this incident is from Kot Mahana Singh Road and the deceased has been identified as Harmanjit Singh (35), a resident of Tarn Taran Road Chatiwind.
The video that has been surfacing shows, a woman along with the deceased and now the police are trying to find the woman who is there in the video so that the cause of the fight can be ascertained.
Out of the three people accused of the murder, Ramandeep Singh and Tarundeep Singh are in custody while one of them is still absconding.
The latest CCTV Video of the murder shows a woman standing beside the youth who was killed by the Nihang Singhs. The Nihang reached there and firstly talked to the woman. Later, the fight sparked between Harmanjit Singh and the Nihangs. As soon as the quarrel started, the woman can be seen leaving the scene. The accused claimed that the woman was with the deceased Harmanjit Singh and both of them were intoxicated.
The incident took place in the marketplace near the Golden Temple. Harmanjit Singh (35), a resident of Tarn Taran Road Chattiwind, was going home.
Reportedly, he was drunk and had some intoxicant in his hand, which he started putting in his mouth. Then two Nihang Sikhs passed by and stopped Harmanjit Singh due to which the fight started. Meanwhile, a Nihang's turban fell, after which the enraged Nihangs attacked Harman with sharp weapons. When the youth started to run away, he hit him on the chest.
The two Nihang Singhs attacked Harmanjit Singh with sharp weapons in such a way that he died on the spot. After this accused Nihang Singhs fled from there.
