In the Amritsar district, a priest has received a threat written on a Pakistani note. This note was put in the donation box of Shri Balaji Dham Charitable Trust temple located in Ghanupur Kale. This threat has not been given to anyone else, but to the head priest of the temple, Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Ashneel Ji Maharaj. Ashneel, apart from being the Mahant of the temple, is also in the Punjab Police and is also the Reader of the Senior Officer in Amritsar Rural.

When the box was opened to count donations, a Pakistani note of Rs 100 was found in it, on which a threat was written that demanded Rs 5 lakh. The incident took place in Chheharta, Amritsar. There was a stir after the incident. The threat is written on it in Punjabi.

When the incident came to light, there was a stir in the temple committee management. There have been threats to blow up the temple and kill the temple managers if the ransom is not paid. The head of the temple committee, Ramesh Sharma said that the head priest of the temple has been threatened with death in the past, we have informed the administration about it before and even today. He that there are a lot of devotees in the temple due to Navratras, due to which the temple committee management has appealed to the administration to take strict steps. This information has been given to the police. Police reached the spot and started an investigation.
