In the past 24 hours, there have been two shooting incidents in Amritsar. The second time, shots were fired close to the Chheharta police station close to the railway lines. Police also reached the spot after receiving information. The injured person was taken to a private hospital, but there, doctors declared him dead. A person sitting in the car with the youth has been taken into custody.
The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi. Gopi Chheherta, a farmer by profession, had come to get the goods. This incident happened to him on his way back home. Police said that while going in the car, he got into a fight over some issue and someone opened fire on him. After the shooting, the accused fled from there. The police have also detained the youth sitting in the car with the deceased.

The deceased's family alleged that their son was not killed in the car. He was shot outside and forced to sit in the car while still injured. Gopi was shot, and when he was taken to the hospital, his body was cold. Not only this, when everyone reached the spot, the car was alreadystarted. Nothing about this matter has been clarified by the police as of yet. Police have started the investigation by taking possession of the body.
The police have started scanning the CCTV cameras to ascertain the cause of death and the accused. The interrogation of the arrested youth is on. Police said that the matter will be resolved soon.
